This Marlins prospect acquired in the Stanton trade to showcase skills in Futures Game

Still wondering if the Marlins got anything worthwhile in the Giancarlo Stanton trade beyond Starlin Castro?

Another chance to get a look at the club’s potential pitching future is coming during the All-Star break.

Jorge Guzman, the Marlins’ No. 3 overall prospect per MLBPipeline.com, will compete in the upcoming MLB All-Star Futures Game on July 15 at 4 p.m. at Nationals Park.

Guzman, a22-year old Dominican right-hander who’s been touted for his plus-100 mph fastball, will represent the World Team and will be the Marlins’ lone representative.
