The Marlins took on the Rockies in a battle of the expansion teams. The Marlins have had the better record overall but Wei-Yin Chen was on the mound, we all know how that goes. The Rockies had strong hitting and pitching last night, while the Fish did not.
Chen went only four innings, giving up seven earned runs on nine hits. From the start Chen looked hittable. The Rockies scored their first run in the second inning, with a single from Ian Desmond and a double by Tom Murphy.
Derek Dietrich helped the Fish get on the board with a solo shot in the next inning.
