MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — The 2015 MLB season may not be over yet but that’s not stopping the Miami Marlins from planning for the future.
A person familiar with the situation says former major league manager Manny Acta has interviewed for the Marlins’ managerial job.
The person confirmed Tuesday’s interview to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the Marlins declined to comment.
The interview is the strongest indication yet that current manager Dan Jennings won’t be back in that job next year. It’s uncertain whether he’ll return to his former position of general manager.
It’s unknown whether the Marlins have interviewed other candidates to replace Jennings.
