PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Every bad pitch Dan Haren makes seems to end up over the fence.
Ryan Howard hit a go-ahead two-run homer, Freddy Galvis also connected to back Jerome Williams, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Miami Marlins 7-3 Tuesday night.
Haren (1-1) gave up four runs and four hits in six innings. All seven runs he’s allowed in three starts have been on five homers.
“I made a couple mistakes and the few I made I didn’t get away with, that’s for sure,” Haren said.
