The Miami Marlins’ wheel of managers has stopped on Don Mattingly, reports Vice Sports, making the former Dodgers skipper the organization’s eighth manager since 2010.
The deal is for four years and the Marlins are “thought to be waiting” until the end of the World Series to make an official announcement.
The 54-year-old led the Dodgers to a 446-363 record and three consecutive division titles. He’s coming off a first-round playoff exit, which led to a mutual decision to part ways.
