Red Sox glide past Marlins in rescheduled game

A nine-game trip away from loanDepot park split into three separate cities concluded at Fenway Park, where the Miami Marlins fell 5-3 to the Boston Red Sox. The game had been originally scheduled for May 30, but was postponed due to inclement weather. Monday’s defeat put the icing on the cake to a frustrating road trip. Even more frustrating for Don Mattingly’s club? The team did not have a lead the entire contest, trailing by as many as four runs.

Starling Marte, finishing 3-for-4 with a 427-foot deep blast in the fifth, kept the Marlins in it for a brief moment, but the offense really was not able to produce much.
