On the day the two veterans vanished from the Marlins in a pair of deadline trades, the painful rebuild continued with a 11-6 drubbing by the Braves at soggy SunTrust Park.

The Braves, a team that is emerging quite nicely from a rebuild of its own, hammered a pair of home runs off starting pitcher Dan Straily and another off returning reliever Tayron Guerrero as the Marlins closed out July with their second straight loss.
