The Marlins picked up another win on Tuesday, but there was nothing ordinary about it. Here are the numbers that made it anomalous:
- Adam Duvall racked up seven runs batted in, tying the Marlins franchise record. This was the first time that any Marlin had ever reached that mark against the Braves.
- Marlins batters worked the Braves pitching staff for 180 pitches. Combined with Monday’s extra-inning effort, this is the first time since Sept. 28-29, 2018 that they’ve forced an opposing team to throw 180-plus pitches on back-to-back days.
