The Miami Marlins expected to play two against the New York Mets on Wednesday.
That didn’t happen.
For the third time in four days, inclement weather impacted the Marlins’ schedule. A more than five-hour weather delay will limit the Marlins and Mets to just one of their two games on Wednesday night, with the game scheduled for a 9:45 p.m. start.
No word has been given yet but a second attempt at the doubleheader on Thursday is likely. If that is the case, Thursday’s forecast calls for less than a 25-percent chance of rain at Citi Field throughout the day.
