National League Notes: Syndergaard, an actor?

Braves prospect Dustin Peterson is going to have to wait a little longer to make his impact on the upcoming season. The outfielder and Braves Minor League Player of the Year will undergo hand surgery and miss eight weeks. Peterson had a breakout year in 2016 at Double-A Mississippi, and was expected to be promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett to start the season. Peterson is just 22, and we look forward to seeing him back on the field as soon as possible.

The Reds showed off their pitching prowess in an impressive showing against the Cubs on Friday.
