MIAMI (AP) — Michael Morse hit a tie-breaking single in the eighth inning that sent the Miami Marlins to a 4-3 victory over the New York Mets on Tuesday night.
It was the Marlins’ first win against the Mets this season in six tries. Miami has won six of seven overall.
Steve Cishek, who blew a save in Monday’s 3-1 loss to New York by allowing a three-run homer to Daniel Murphy in the ninth, walked leadoff hitter Curtis Granderson before earning his second save of the year in four opportunities.
