One of the best pitching weapons the Miami Marlins have had for the last few seasons has been David Phelps. Phelps has done it all for the Fish from a pitching standpoint for the club. He’s been a dynamite set up man, he’s been able to close some games out, and he’s even filled in as a spot starter as well.
The best season of his career was in 2016 as a Marlin, when he posted a career low 2.28 ERA. Phelps went 7-6 and struck out 114 opposing batters in 86.2 innings pitched.
