What an Opening Night!
This game just had a strange feeling to it right out of the gate during the pre-game festivities. The Miami Marlins and Detroit Tigers did not get started until after 7:30, but it was well worth the wait. The ball left Marlins Park early and often so I lovingly title this game recap: Opening Day, Bombs Away.
The Marlins fell into a hole early in the 1st inning, as Ian Kinsler slapped a broken bat single that was followed by a Justin Upton double, which advanced Kinsler to third.
