On a night where Alex Rodriguez came within a hit of joining the 3,000 club, Mat Latos and Mike Dunn couldn't keep the Bronx Bombers in the yard when it counted the most and the Marlins fell to the Yankees 9-4.
Rodriguez got the first of his two hits off of Latos in the first, singling in Brett Gardner from third, making it 1-0 Yankees. In the fourth, Dee Gordon tripled to deep right and Christian Yelich drove him in with a sharp ground-out, tying things up at one a piece.
