Thunder and lightning lit up the sky at the same time as Marlins hitters were lighting up Eddie Butler. The Fish secured their third straight victory thanks to an ineffective Butler, an effective Tom Koehler and a very effective Marlins hitting attack that compiled 11 hits on the night.
Miami got it going early. In the second inning Marcell Ozuna reached base on an infield single. Christian Yelich followed with a single to right which moved Ozuna up to third. Realmuto then hit a single to right to score the first run of the game, 1-0 Fish.
