Ichiro walked, stole a base and scored off of a Justin Bour double smoked down the right field line in the first inning. That, my friends, ended up being the lone Marlins run of the game. Ichiro would also provide a nice defensive highlight in the bottom half of the frame, running down a Matt Kemp deep drive to right center field, tumbling after the catch.
Andrew Cashner pitched seven strong innings of one run ball, giving up only five hits and one walk whilst striking out five. The Marlins could do little to touch him after the first inning.
