The Marlins dropped their third straight game to the Atlanta Braves by a tally of 7-2.
The Braves started their assault early as A.J. Pierzynski singled on a line drive to score Cameron Maybin in the bottom of the first. Then, in the top of the 2nd, Cole Gillespie doubled down the right field line scoring J.T. Realmuto. Gillespie eventually moved up to third on a throwing error by Jace Peterson. He would stay anchored at second.
The Braves picked up a run on a sacrifice fly, and then, in the top of the 3rd, Cole Gillespie was at in again, singling to score Casey McGehee and tie matters at two a piece.
