Cameron Maybin was traded to the Seattle Mariners for some international bonus pool slot money and infielder Bryson Brigman. This will be the seventh major league team to employ Maybin. He’s also played for the Detroit Tigers, the San Diego Padres, the Atlanta Braves, the Los Angeles Angels, and the Houston Astros.
Maybin had slashed .251/.338/.343 in 99 games for the Marlins this season, with three homers, 20 RBI, and eight stolen bases. He’ll join fellow Marlins expatriate Dee Gordon.
The return for Maybin is middle infield prospect Bryson Brigman, who slots in as Miami’s new #28 prospect.
