According to Tim Healey of South Florida Sun Sentinel, the Miami Marlins have signed outfielder Cameron Maybin to a deal.
This will not be Maybin’s first go-around with the Marlins, he came to Florida in 2007 in the deal that sent Miguel Cabrera to Detroit, a deal many Marlins fans still have nightmares about.
Maybin originally spent three seasons with the Marlins at the beginning of his career and wasn’t much of an impact only playing in 144 games over three years while sporting a .257/.323/.391 slash line.
Most recently, the outfielder began the 2017 season with the Los Angeles Angels but was then traded to the Houston Astros where he won the World Series.
