Miami Marlins Prospect Watch: Relief Pitcher Jesus Sanchez

Throughout the 2018/2019 offseason, Marlin Maniac will devote one article each for every player who appeared in the Miami Marlins system for the 2018 season. Every. Single. Player. This is Part 253 of 286.

Jesus Enrique Sanchez is a 5’11”, 150 lb. right-handed hitting and throwing pitcher from Chepo, Panama, population 2,989. One major leaguer has come out of the small town, right-handed pitcher Carlos Maldonado.

Sanchez was born on April 8th, 1999, and signed his first professional deal with the Miami Marlins on July 17th, 2015 at the age of 16-years-old. He got into his first professional action the following season with the rookie-level DSL Marlins in the Dominican Summer League.
