Miami recalled catcher Jhonatan Solano in corresponding move.
Martin Prado was told he would be unable to face his former team and as the Marlins end a four game series with the Yankees Prado will be on the bench again. Miami announced it placed Prado on the 15-day disabled list with a shoulder sprain and in the corresponding move recalled catcher Jhonatan Solano from Triple-A New Orleans.
Prado, 31, went down during Sunday's contest against the Rockies and has not been in the lineup since. The move is retroactive to June 15, and as a result, the Marlins will be able to activate Prado when he is healthy while adding catching depth to their bench.
