Miami Marlins morning news: Yelich hopes to play tonight

Outfielder Christian Yelich hopes to come off of the disabled list and be in the lineup tonight against the Pirates. Yelich has been on the disabled list since August 9 with a bruised right knee and the team does not feel that a rehab assignment is necessary.

Carter Capps will likely be held out of the team's current series against the Pirates. Capps is recovering from a right elbow strain and is yet to feel 100 percent.

The Marlins' farm system is not as strong as it was a few years ago and none of their top prospects are having dominant seasons.
