Miami Marlins morning news: Martin Prado day-to-day with shoulder injury

Martin Prado injured his shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Rockies, and according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro, he may be out for at least a pair of contests.

Prado was injured in the first inning after tumbling over first base. An X-ray taken on Sunday came back negative, revealing a sprain of his AC joint. The veteran third baseman will be evaluated by team physicians on Monday, and more on his status will be known later in the day.

Jose Fernandez will pitch in Triple-A on Wednesday and Jarred Cosart will make a start Tuesday as both bounce back from injuries.
