Miami Marlins morning news: Jose Fernandez dominant in second start

Fernandez pitched well through seven innings on Thursday. Plus notes on Marcell Ozuna and David Phelps.

Jose Fernandez made his second start of the season and had success at Marlins Park on Thursday night. He struck out nine over seven shutout innings and credited his teammates while speaking to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro.

"Obviously, I can't do it by myself," Fernandez said. "It's a team game. They played a great game today. I'm thankful and I'm grateful, too."

Giancarlo Stanton is set to have stitches removed from his hand in a few days.
