Cosart left his last start in Triple-A early as a result. Plus notes on Dan Haren and A.J. Ramos.
Jarred Cosart continues to be plagued by vertigo symptoms. Cosart left his last start with Triple-A New Orleans with one out in the second inning, and according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro, his departure was the result of vertigo returning.
Dan Haren allowed five runs and gave up a pair of home runs against the Phillies. But the Marlins' bullpen could not hold a late lead.
A.J. Ramos has been solid since taking over as Miami's closer.
