Miami Marlins morning news: Ichiro Suzuki inches closer to 3,000 hits

Ichiro Suzuki has had a solid season with the Marlins and it got even better on Wednesday night. Suzuki's 2,900th career hit was an RBI double down the left field line at Marlins Park. Manager Dan Jennings continues to be impressed by Suzuki's style of play, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro.

"It was certainly great to see Ichiro collect his 2,900th hit," Marlins manager Dan Jennings said. "That's just a tribute to such an outstanding, Hall-of-Fame player that he is.
