Miami Marlins morning news: Fish rout Yankees after record 1st

The Marlins scored eight runs in the first inning - a club record - off of former starter Nathan Eovaldi en route to a 12-2 blowout win. Plus links on Josh Naylor, Dan Jennings and Ichiro.

Miami squeaked past the Yankees 2-1 on Monday night but scored four times as many runs in the first inning on Tuesday night. This marked the first time that the Fish have scored eight runs in the first after scoring seven on multiple occasions. Former highly-touted Marlins starter Nathan Eovaldi was on the wrong end of this first.
