His name is Erik Cordier and you’ve probably never heard of him. Nearing his tenth season in baseball, the 29-year-old Cordier made just his first appearance last year with San Francisco.
Now, with David Phelps‘ recent placement on the DL, the Marlins have called him up to help out in the bullpen. Last season, he pitched six innings, giving up one earned run and striking out nine.
