Mike Leake tossed seven shutout innings and the Cincinnati Reds blanked the Miami Marlins 5-0 in the opener of a three-game series.
Leake (4-4) allowed just two hits and three walks while fanning seven to remain unbeaten in four June starts. The right-hander had lost three straight starts to close out May.
Marlon Byrd (wrist) returned from the 15-day disabled list and delivered a solo home run in the fourth inning for Cincinnati, providing all the run support that Leake and two relievers would need. (Read More Here)
