Fresh off Saturday’s beating, the Marlins ruined Jake Arrieta’s Phillies debut and came away with a win yesterday.
Trevor Richards was on the mound for the second time in his career and again was only able to go four innings. Richards allowed three runs on six hits, while walking three and striking out two. That isn't a pitching line anyone should be excited about, but Richards allowed fewer runs this time around.
The Marlins were able to get on the board early on thanks to help of Miguel Rojas and his first home run of the season, followed by Braxton Lee’s two RBI single in the same inning.
