The Marlins dropped a game to the Washington Nationals yesterday, losing 8-3 to fall to 13-9 in Grapefruit league play.
Odrisamer Despaigne went five and two third’s innings in his deepest spring outing yet, but gave up four earned runs off of five hits (including a two-run shot to Bryce Harper in the sixth), two walks and four strikeouts. Chris O’Grady would follow with a somewhat lackluster appearance, giving up three earned runs off of four hits in an inning and a third pitched, one walk and one strikeout. Javy Guerra would finish the game up for the Fish with a run, a walk and a punch out in a single inning pitched.
