This wasn’t the news the Miami Marlins wanted regarding outfielder Lewis Brinson. The team announced Brinson will remain on the disabled list several weeks with a bone bruise. Brinson had been on the 10-day disabled list for inflammation in his hip.
Per Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, “The Marlins announced on Friday the rookie center fielder is dealing with a right hip bone bruise, and he will be out several more weeks.
“The revised prognosis was made after Brinson was examined by team physician, Dr. Lee Kaplan. The 24-year-old has been on the 10-day disabled list since July 4.
