The Marlins didn’t necessarily miss Justin Bour’s bat lately, yet, they’re still real happy to see their slugging first baseman back in the lineup.
Bour was activated before Friday’s game at SunTrust Park and was put sixth in the lineup.
Bour had been on the disabled list since sustaining a bone bruise in his left ankle June 3 against the Diamondbacks.
After a few days in a walking boot, Bour was back working out. He played a rehab game in Port St. Lucie for Miami’s single-A team on Wednesday and met the Marlins in Georgia.
“It’s great to be back,” said Bour, who went 2 for 2 with two runs scored an RBI in his lone game with the Jupiter Hammerheads.
