Miami Marlins Fish Wrap: 26 Runs in Washington, D.C.

Martin Prado, Justin Bour, and Brian Anderson each went deep against Nationals pitching, and the Miami Marlins stable of arms couldn’t protect a nine-run lead.

Game Story

Martin Prado reached first base on a fielding error by Anthony Rendon in the first inning, allowing Derek Dietrich to score a two-out run. In the second, Realmuto hit a two-run single, Bour added an RBI-single, and Prado hit his first home run in over a year, a three-run shot. It came off the bat at 101.4 MPH, at a 24° angle and traveled 374 feet into the left field foul pole.
