The 25-year old lefty is out of options and receiving an opportunity to start with the Marlins.
Brad Hand is receiving another opportunity to start for the Marlins. Hand pitched throughout Miami's minor league system as a starter, and according to Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald, he is set to start on Tuesday night against the Mets.
Hand, 25, made the club out of spring training as a long relief option but has since seen his role change. After the Marlins traded Steve Cishek, the organization asked Hand to pitch as a left-handed setup man late in games.
