Born on November 15th, 1995, Andrews was the Miami Marlins 10th round selection in 2018. A 6’3″, 220 lb. right-hander from Rochester, IN, he was a four-year letterman for the Purdue Boilermakers, Class of 2018.
In his four seasons of Division I competition, Andrews racked up a 17-15 record with a 3.69 ERA, 184 K’s in 257 2/3 innings, and a 1.44 WHIP. He was better overall in his senior season, going 7-5 with a 2.94 ERA over 17 appearances (16 starts). Andrews struck out 78 in 98 frames prior to the amateur draft. Oh, and he’s also a football player, and, erm, a basketball player too.
