Miami was fielding offers for Steve Cishek and a deal has reportedly been agreed upon. According to Clark Spencer of The Miami Herald, the Cardinals have acquired Cishek from the Marlins in exchange for Double-A pitcher Kyle Barraclough.
Cishek has struggled at times to this point in 2015, posting a 4.50 ERA and 3.44 FIP over 32.0 innings. He opened the season as the Marlins' closer but had difficulty throwing strikes and was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans for a brief time.
