MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — The Miami Marlins are set to give an official welcome to their reported new manager.
The Marlins are set to hold a 10 a.m. news conference where they are expected to announce Don Mattingly as the head of the team.
The former Dodgers manager was hired by Miami less than a week after he left Los Angeles, the only team he’s managed since retiring as a player.
In five seasons as skipper, he went 446-363 (.551%) with two playoff appearances, including one trip to the NLCS.
