Marlins prospects shut out of Baseball Prospectus midseason rankings

The updated top-50 MLB prospects list published by Baseball Prospectus on Friday did not include any Marlins farmhands.

Although disappointing, that should’ve been anticipated.

Lewis Brinson had been among Baseball Prospectus’ preseason top 50 in 2016 (No. 15), 2017 (No. 12) and 2018 (No. 18). However, he’s now graduated from prospect eligibility.

Outfielder Monte Harrison was No. 49 on the previous edition of the list. He is providing strong production lately for Double-A Jacksonville (.312/.402/.457 over past calendar month), but there have been extended dry spells throughout the campaign that drag down the overall stats.
