If he keeps this up, Zac Gallen will be knocking on the Major League door of the Miami Marlins before the All-Star break. The only issue is the Marlins front office doesn’t have a place for the team’s No. 18 prospect and PCL Pitcher of the Week honoree.
While Gallen is mowing down batters at New Orleans, Miami’s Triple-A affiliate, it’s hard to get a read on when he may make his Marlins debut other than as a Sept. 1 call-up with the organization.
Right now, the only way Zac Gallen may see a major-league roster is if there is an injury or if the team makes a deal for a slugger and the New Jersey native is part of the negotiation.
