Miami Marlins pitching prospect Nick Neidert won his 10th game of the season for the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Saturday, Neidert, the team’s No. 3 prospect, is the first pitcher in the Southern League to reach double-digit wins this season.
It’s another achievement for the 21-year-old from Atlanta, who has impressed with his array of pitches and his ability to dominate hitters on the Double-A level. The Jumbo Shrimp beat the Biloxi Shuckers 5-1 at MGM Park on the road.
