It would appear another Miami Marlins pitching prospect is making a case to move up the team’s minor league system. Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp starter Robert Dugger recorded a career-best 10 strikeouts and pitched seven scoreless innings in 3-1 win over Birmingham on Tuesday.
The win for Dugger was his fourth in five starts and gives the organization another arm to consider for the future of this franchise.
Per Mike Rosenbaum of MLB.com, Dugger “Struck out seven consecutive batters at one point in the outing and ultimately allowed three hits and two walks while throwing 63 of his season-high 107 pitches for strikes.
