Prior to the start of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp’s season, I attended the team’s media day here on the First Coast. Manager Kevin Randel was pleased with his pitching staff, especially the thought of having both Robert Dugger and Jordan Yamamoto in the rotation. Now, both pitchers have started on the Major League level for the Miami Marlins.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Yamamoto has a forearm strain and Dugger would get the call to replace his former Jumbo Shrimp teammate on the mound for his second career MLB start against the Cincinnati Reds.
