Miami Marlins third baseman Martin Prado suffered a quad strain he suffered in the team’s 9-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves in the first game of a doubleheader on Monday. The 34-year-old continues to deal with injuries that have plaqued him the past couple of seasons.
As MLB.com’s Joe Frisaro explains, “The injury came while chasing a foul ball down the third-base line in the first inning, though Prado remained in the game until he was pinch-hit for by Miguel Rojas in the third inning. Rojas remained in the game at third.
