Marlins Outfielder Garrett Cooper Likely Done For Season

The news wasn’t good for the Miami Marlins outfielder Garrett Cooper. After joining Class-A Jupiter on a rehab assignment, the outfielder sustained a setback to a wrist injury that could shut him down for the remained of the 2018 season.

It was the hope of the franchise that Cooper would join the parent club when the Marlins expanded their roster later this week.

He and Lewis Brinson, who has been rehabbing at Double-A Jacksonville, would be part of the team’s plans for the final month of the season.
