The first day of the annual Winter Meetings saw the finalization of the deal to send Giancarlo Stanton to the Yankees, and the discussions which went on behind the scenes in the run up to the monumental trade have been revealed. Obviously, there were a lot of questions regarding the specifics of the move, and GM Michael Hill answered them.
While Miami did not receive big name prospects in return for Stanton, new Vice President of Player Development and Scouting Gary Denbo knows New York's farm system inside-out, and he may have been able to pick out some hidden gems.
