The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp have only been in existence for three seasons, but they continue to make their mark in minor league baseball. The Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins once again set an attendance record for the 2019 season.
Formally known as the Jacksonville Suns, the Southern League affiliate continues to provide “Affordable Family Fun” while coming up with innovative promotions that bring fans to the ballpark.
Per Scott Kornberg of the Jumbo Shrimp public relations department, “The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp’s 2019 season presented by Community First Credit Union saw the club welcome a total attendance of 327,388 come through the gates at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, marking the best total attendance in the first three seasons of the Jumbo Shrimp and the first time since 2010 that the club has had at least 317,000 fans come to Jacksonville home games in three consecutive years.
