Each week, Fish Stripes will be recapping the past week’s performances throughout the Marlins minor league system. Highlighting the players who either had an outstanding week, or one they would like to put behind them.
All stats updated entering June 17.
Uncharacteristically, the New Orleans Baby Cakes were forced to rely on their offense for the second straight week. Their pitching staff gave up a combined 32 runs through their five games (35 runs total).
Thankfully, the Baby Cakes offense was able to carry the load. They averaged 5.8 runs/game. If the pitching staff was more effective this past week, the Baby Cakes could have potentially been victorious in all of their games.
