It took 10 innings, but the Marlins beat the Milwaukee Brewers with the help of Bryan Holaday’s RBI single. Brad Ziegler came away with his first win of the season.
Jose Ureña pitched okay allowing two runs on 5 2⁄3 innings pitched, meanwhile the Marlins bullpen allowed one run in 4 1⁄3 innings. Along with the game winning hit Holaday’s sacrifice fly in the fourth inning put the Marlins first run on the board. Starlin Castro and Brian Anderson provided the evening’s fireworks with back-to-back home runs off of “unhittable” Josh Hader in the seventh inning.
