The Marlins were beat by the Diamondbacks to complete the sweep. With yesterday’s loss, the Marlins have dropped six in a row, their longest streak of the season.
Sloppy defense hurt them again with two errors in the fifth inning. Dan Straily wasn’t able to pitch deep into the game, but in his 4 1⁄3 innings, he allowed one run along with four strikeouts and five walks. Adam Conley and Tayron Guerrero allowed five runs combined (four were earned runs). The Marlins lone run was a Justin Bour RBI double in the ninth inning.
